Ailie Cohen is a designer, puppet maker, performer and illustrator creating emotionally rich and compelling theatrical experiences which highlight the beauty and surreal in the everyday.

 


 

Ailie trained in visual art and acting, with a Post Grad at VGIK – (State Institute for Theatre and Cinematography Moscow). She has gone on to work as a performer, designer and maker for a myriad of creative companies, including, National Theatre of Scotland, Imaginate, Grid Iron, Royal national Theatre, TAG, The Citizens, Starcatchers, The Lyceum, and The Pappy Show. She is an associate artist of Puppet State Theatre Company, with which she collaborated on the critically acclaimed ‘The Man Who Planted Trees’, which has toured worldwide since 2006. 

  Ailie’s work has travelled all over the world, delighting audiences in Cairo, China, Dubai, Canada, Japan, America, Australia and extensively throughout the UK and Ireland.
